Hi, Could anyone please advise.
My company has recently terminated the employment of a couple of workers within my team, paid their notice of 3month as long as they leave immediately. They both have less than 2 years service so do not have any employment rights and wouldn’t be entitled to redundancy. Basically, they’ve torn up their contracts without prior warning or even considering their performance and appraisal. My question is, I also have less than 2 years service and a 3 month notice period. Can I Legally terminate my contract early? Does it work both ways? If I leave earlier than 3 months without their agreement are there implications? I appreciate that I would only be paid for the notice that I actually work.
