  • Parking charges - unequal work related fees - unequal pay?

Is it legal for an employer to remove the staff car park at one site, forcing employees to pay £3.40 per 2 hours for the public car park, with no pay compensation/offer to provide free parking passes/…, whilst those at other sites will still be able to park for free? Pay and responsibilities are the same across the sites and most employees didn’t get to choose which site they wanted to work at, some work across all or several of the sites, some only at one, which would mean that those at the site with no staff car park would essentially end up with less pay per hour than the others, for the same work, in the same city, under the same employer.

    Thanks in advance!

What does your terms and conditions or employment say about free staff parking?

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
