  • Team misaporipriating community funds on project

A multinational community project has a small team of developers from various Countrys, a couple also live in the UK.

The issue arrose when a proposal was put to the community to release $150,000 of community funds, in order to secure more utility/programming and upgrades for the project (IT based) T

The comunity had the chance to read the proposal in detail and then make a decision on whether the funds were right for the scope of works to be conducted.

The proposal was good, and the community voted "yes" for the release of the community funds, in order to secure the work within the proposal and advance the project.

Once the funds were released, the $150,000 was split into 12.5k chunks, and distributed amongst the team, amongst the benefactors were some administrators who had contributed nothing to the original proposal.

This is all detailed and documented with ammounts and who they went to itemised. They refuse to give the money back. Is there any recourse for the UK community members regards the team members that missapropriated these community funds?

Someone is going to have to investigate this project, where and how it was set up etc, in order to ascertain which country's laws apply and which country's courts have jurisdiction.
