  • Peninsular Contract !?!

Hello, I am a hairdressers, LTD Company and I took out the HR service from Peninsula business services, I took out 2 services from them, 1 in 2018 and 1 in 2020, I have recently decided that I no longer want to continue, so I emailed them and also cancelled the direct debit that was set up, I have received an email from them stating that I am in a 5 year contract for each service and that I must re setup the direct debit immediately, I responded that I was never made aware of any 5 year contract, I was only ever informed of a monthly payment cost. they have replied today stating that if I dont re setup the direct debit they will pass the case to their litigation team !!

    Would greatly appreciate any advice

Hi syvonne unfortunately Peninsular can be very aggressive. We know from other users of the forum that typically their contracts are for a period of 5 years and automatically roll-on unless you give them notice in advance in accordance with the terms and conditions you signed up to.

Do you still have a copy of the terms for each of the services?
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

Hello, I'm desperately trying to find the paper work but as of yet have had no joy, they insist that the "small print" explained that I was entering into a 5 year contract.

Ask them for a copy with your signature on it.And they don't only have 5 year contracts anyway, they have 3,4,and 5 year.
