  • Possible Breach of Confidentiality

Good afternoon, I am looking for a bit of advice please. I had an issue with my line manager, I had to start a grievance but found a new job. My issue is that I disclosed I was seeking a referral for ADHD and was given a performance improvement plan. Once I disputed it I was told that it wasn’t a discipline, but the form used as a template. This all on email as well!!
The job I got turns out to be where my line manager worked as a line manager, her old job actually. She scheduled a meeting and she knew I had got the job as she still knows people there. As the conversation continued she told me about some of the employees and personal health details about them. She then asked me to be discreet about the grievance I had put in. I withdrew the grievance but now feel that maybe she breached confidentiality. To be honest I am a bit worried about her knowing so many of the staff where I am starting work.

Has she breached any confidential information about you?

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.
