  • Declaring filtered convictions

I have been employed in a post for a year that is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an enhanced DBS. My DBS is blank - the 2 offences i have incurred, many years ago, have been removed under the "filtering" rules.
I have just seen my contract, and it states that all convictions must be declared to HR, even if spent. I have seen guidance from NACRO that implies I am within my rights not to declare anything that is "protected"...ie is filtered and doesnt appear on an enhanced DBS.
My employer now wants me to work out of a police station once a month, and in order to do this, I will need to clear an enhanced police vetting check. I dont feel comfortable with this, as this level of check will include additional information about myself that i feel o am within my rights to keep confidential.
where do i stand with this please?
