live in Massachusetts and was doing web development for 9 months working remotely for a company in Florida as an employee. I was laid off in October, since the company HR dept was understaffed they never sent me any proof of wages so I couldn't file unemployment. Finally I got a W2 in January but when I talked to MA unemployment office they said that that company is some classification out of Delaware where they don't pay unemployment benefits or don't pay those types of taxes.
