    Hi,
I currently work for a narcissist. Everyone is leaving the company. I work 15 hours a week. I've just found another job and I've found out I have to give 4 weeks notice which is written in our contracts but I don't have a copy of mine.
I am giving a weeks notice which is what I've offered the new employer's.
can my boss legally make me work those 4 weeks because I'm worried I will lose the new position.
    HELP!

If your contractual notice is 4 weeks then that overrides the statutory notice that you need to give. If you do not then you would be in breach of contract and your employer could make a court claim if the end up with extra costs because you leave early. How likely this is to happen will depend on your employer and the cost of making the claim verus any loss.

I would suggest that you try and reach agreement to a shorter notice period.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

My boss is a narcissist, he doesn't really deserve any more notice. One minute he's your best mate, the next he's your boss and can be a nasty one.
he used to be great but for some reason he's changed, he's no longer approachable, he takes things the wrong way and it's just become unbearable.
He's messed up my wage for the last 2 months, he owes me money but I've not been given it. He has a potty mouth, uses the **** word a lot. I used to think ge was funny and great but not anymore. His staff are now leaving left right and centre.
