    PILON clause*

    Hello,

    The PILON clause in my employment contract is very brief. It says:

    "The organisation reserves the right to make payment of basic pay/salary in lieu of notice"



    It does not say anything further. Is this sufficient to execute PILON or does it need to be more specific in terms of the wording ?

    It is very brief I have to say, however it clearly gives the right for the employer to pay basic salary in lieu of you effectively working your notice.
