  • Please help CIFAS

    Good afternoon,

1 month ago I was accused of stealing coffee from the vending machine at work.

what happened is the following: I paid with Apple Pay and as long as I was aware the transactions were going through. However that was not the case. We had a disciplinary hearing and I was told to provide as many proof as I can meaning why I thought those transactions were going through. I showed them that I had problem with my online banking therefore I couldn’t check my online banking straight away. Therefore they made the decision to report me to CIFAS.
Now, before them making this decision I was advised my high management and union representative to just resign and nothing would happen.

After I resigned I received the letter saying they will proceed with me being reported to CIFAS (intern fraud database) . This news has left me shocked and I’m in such a bad place, I can’t sleep eat I can’t focus.

I’m concerned my life is over now, will this type of CIFAS marker show on my credit report? If so, what type of job can I have now?

I’m so devastated I can’t even explain it.

    thank you in advance

With 2 threads any answers can get split between threads and is time wasting for contributors . Duplicate threads are discouraged for that reason. Most regulars look at all new threads
