I was promised upon completion of an internal interview in august an appointment to another role within my current employer
Upon successfully completing the interview I was emailed by the manager of the new role to congratulate me in my recent success.
Since however I have had varied communication in regards to my eventual start date.
I was informed by internal recruitment in September that I was waiting in a pool - although I never applied for a position based on that notion. At this time colleagues from the same batch of interviews were receiving start dates.
I was later informed that any date for myself could be after christmas
December I received further communication advising me that the position had been closed and I would need to reapply - although this was later retracted having been sent in error. I then made recruitment aware in December that I was worried my successful interview wouldn’t be honoured and also that an important exam assessment needed for the new role was due to expire in June next year
I was then told through written communication not to worry about my test validity at this stage because we can cross that bridge should the need arise.
Following this I was then informed in January that any date of starting would likely be in the next financial year.
Since then I have been informed that The team is at full capacity and it seems unlikely I will be given any start date during the post covid period.
My most recent email suggest if I don’t have a start date by June, that my tests expire and I will no longer be on the waiting list and will have to start the entire process of progression from the beginning.
All the way through this process since august I have been aware and have made recruitment aware that my assessment expires in June.
Other colleagues who were successful at the very same round of interviews as me have already started their positions so I’m very eager to be afforded the same opportunity that has been already been afforded them.
The question simply is where Can I really go from here and some advice would be fantastic. I have communication throughout advising me I’m awaiting a space, and that a job is mine but moreover I have still not signed any agreement in writing.
