Hi, the company i work for, if you are employed with them for 5 years, they give you an extra weeks holiday ( 5 days ), I have been there now for over 8 years, so have this week every year, its not earned or acrured like normal holidays. My question is, I've recently lost my job, do they have to pay me this extra weeks holiday in my leaving pay ?

If it was written into your contract or detailed in any holiday policy then potential it should be included? Your entitlement to holiday pay on losing your job will be based on your accrued holiday from the start of the holiday year up to the date of your termination less any holiday you have taken.If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com
