  • Shift pattern change

    Hiya can anybody help me please

    I work 12 hour night shifts only me and 1 other person works the nights. I currently work 4 on 4 off 4 on 2 off and repeat I want to change my shift so I get abit more time off how can I get the best out of these days without working every single weekend.

    I am person A the other night shift worker is person B

    person A shift planner
    Tuesday 12 hours night, Wednesday 12 hours night , Thursday 12 hours night , Friday 12 hours night
    Wednesday 12 hours night , Thursday 12 hours night , Friday 12 hours night Saturday 12 hours night
    repeat
    person B shift planner
    Monday 12 hour night shift , Saturday 12 hours night shift , Sunday 12 hour night shift
    Monday 12 hour night shift , Tuesday 12 hour night shift , Sunday 12 hour night shift
    repeat

    Have you discussed this with eiher your employer or the other person who works the shift as any change you want to make will have an impact on them.
