My query is on starting work in a new company, and being subjected to attacks on personal integrity.
Within 2 months of joining my new employer, 2 employees in another team in my company colluded to attack my integrity and accuse me of wrongdoing with regard to company budgets. They reported this directly to my line manager without checking facts with me.
When I found out, I raised this with HR and my line manager, and everybody immediately apologised and withdrew the accusations in writing. However, the 2 guilty individuals were neither asked to apologise, nor were they punished.
As a result of these false allegations, I have been very distressed for several months, and I know that my prospects in the company have sufferred already, for no fault of mine.
I want to know what are my options to get redress, reparation, compensation from my new company for the stress caused and the damage done to my prospects in the company.
