    Reduced hours instead of Furlough

    During the first lockdown we were all put on furlough. My employer hasn't been paid a penny from the government yet so they refuse to furlough us again. Instead they have reduced our hours.

    Am I eligible to claim any benefits/payments due to reduced working hours caused by the pandemic?

    If your company has applied to make furlough payments via the portal I am not sure why they have not been paid.

    I assume that you were paid as if your were on furlough duirng the first lockdown?

    If you are on reduced hours and therefore pay you may be able to claim Universal Credit and below is a link to the information:
