  • Sick pay entitlement - how to understand my contract?

    Hello.
I have an issue with understanding my contract. It states that my sick pay will accrue and during first two years of service it will be 1 month full pay, during 3rd and 4th year it will 2 months full pay plus 2 months half pay and during 5th year 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay. It also says that sick pay entitlement will be based on a rolling year triggered by the start of each absence. It seems to be quiet clear, however not in my situation. On 15th of October I will start my 5th year in the company, but I have been on sick leave since the beginning of July and unfortunately need to extend it until end of this year, if no longer. If my 5th year of service starts during sick leave, will I be paid 2 months full and 2 half pay or they will pay me third month full as well? Could someone advice please?

Is there anything in the clasuse about what happens if you are on sick leave whilst moving from one year of service to another?

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
