    Tribunal case ruled unfair dismissal, can I now bring a private prosecution

    Hi All,

    Newby here.

    Anyhow, Was dismissed from where I had been working for 9 years just over 18 months ago, supposedly as a redundancy. Decided to take it to tribunal as no redundancy process was followed.

    Finally, last week, tribunal upheld unfair dismissal and awarded small remedy.

    So, can I now bring a private prosecution against the person who dismissed me to recover all the money I have lost as a result of this unfair dismissal?

    Love to hear thoughts and advice from you all.

    What are you trying to claim for if you have already successfully won your claim at Tribunal?

    Any further process would have to be through the civil courts for which you would have to pay a fee and depending on the amount you are claiming, if it was over £10k you would be liable for the other parties costs if you lost.
