  • Privately issued ‘internal’ speeding fines

Can a courier company issue private speeding fines to Drivers for speeding, motioned through a dash cam?

When the charge appears it is disguised as “administration charge” so I’m assuming this can’t be anywhere close to legal?

Conditions of contract of employment first place to start.

How we you informed of this deduction from wages and what was the reason given?

In the contract it says “administration charge” for speeding. However, they aren’t incurring any costs or administering anything so I fail to see how they can charge for it.

Amongst the Drivers it is commonly known that the “Administration charge” is is deliberately worded to avoid the term “Speeding fine”

What authority do the company have to issue these fines? If any.

"In the contract it says “administration charge” for speeding."

        Exact wording please.
