    Previous employer gave false information regarding job title

    After giving seven years of my life serving my old employer they messed up with my title when registering my employment background information inspite of correcting them before leaving,they even gave me a letter with the right title,however they ended up registering with an inaccurate title in my employment background keeping me in the dark.I got to know about this only one year after leaving the company.Do I have any recourse?Appreciate your inputs.
