  • Post re evaluated

    Hi All

I apologies if this is covered elsewhere but I cannot find it.

I left my previous employer after 13 years and took a new position with a local authority which included a year of assisted learning.

2 Weeks ago we were all told that our posts had been re evaluated and senior people would be brought in to do tour jobs and that we would have a consultation meeting which was today.

I have been employed there just under 2 years, myself or my colleagues have never had any issues and no concerns raised.

During todays meeting we were told that the consultation would take 2 weeks and we would be shipped to other departments which I do not want to work in and could be anywhere within the authority.

It was made clear I could not apply for one of these senior post because I had not completed my year of learning despite raising this for the last 18 months.

My managers refused to give me the days at the departments needed to sign off my training and failed to keep to the agreement / contract I was employed on.

I feel I have lost out on 13 years service / redundancy and lost the job I wanted to do and be moved within 45 miles of home, currently its 3.

    Do I have any options

    Thanks in advance

Is this a redundancy situation with the offer of alternative employment or is the authority restructuring of the department/area you are working in?

Did you raise the issue about the training with anyone more senior than your manager?
Was the assisted learning programme detailed in your contract of employment?
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
