  • Is my contract legal?

I have a question about my contract. I am just wondering if it is even legal. The company supposedly is registered on the British Virgin Islands but operating exclusively in Mexico. Still, I needed to take care of my own Visa. I couldn't obtain a working Visa during the time of the employment, does this make my contract obsolete? Plus I don't even know where my contract was legal. It didn't state Mexico or England or wherever. This is the whole contract, nothing more. I quit already quite a while ago. Plus they paid me commissions but the contract doesn't say if I have to pay commissions back after I leave the company. I really have no idea and would appreciate every help! Information about the company etc. is marked black since I want to keep it anonymous. Sorry for the bad resolution of the pictures! I would be really glad if somebody could help me since I am also kind of afraid this company might get back to me somehow with legal actions.
Also please note that they don't ask for any qualifications to hire you as a so-called consultant or financial advisor. It is basically a sales job with the highest turn over rate I've ever encountered.

Hello Ula, sorry for the late response. I am based in Mexico. I don't work for this company anymore.

During the whole time of employment I was based in Mexico.

Although the legal system is based in English law procedures there do differs to a great degree because of local statutes, orders and civil procedure rules. It could also be that since you were based in Mexico you could fall under the legal judiciary of that country.

            Sorry I really cannot help
