i started a new job as a nanny a month ago. They are only just sorting the contract. There are many clauses in there I am not happy with but I am not willing to agree to (excessive probation periods, lay off clause etc) and they also want to credit check me which I have never been asked for a nanny job before. This feels like a massive invasion of privacy. My problem is they say they are legally allowed to so I have to. I currently don’t have a signed contract and I’m pretty sure I don’t think we can agree on the issues so the job will not progress. Do I have to give a notice period now?
