  • Apprenticeship Fees

    Hi there,

My company have stated that I would be required to pay back 100% of my apprenticeship fees if I leave within two years of completion, as stated in the signed contract. I have been demoted due to a lack of business as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and wish to move company.*

Is it possible for them to charge me the cost of the fees if the fees were paid for through the levy?

I am aware of the statement in the apprenticeship terms which state:

'To use funds in your apprenticeship service account or government-employer co-investment, the individual must: “Not be asked to contribute financially to the cost of training, on programme or end-point assessment. This includes where the individual has completed the programme successfully or left the programme early. Costs include any co-investment or additional training and assessment costs, above the funding band, that you have paid directly to the main provider where this is part of the agreed apprenticeship'

Could someone please tell me if they can or cannot charge me for my course fees? They would be in the tens of thousands with no mention of how they are paid back.

    Thanks you for your time.
