    Being chased for money after signing Deed of Settlement

    To cut a long story short, I received a sum of money from a company in October 2019. I signed a Deed of Settlement stating that I agree to keep quiet about my experience with the company in order to receive this money. The agreement also prevented me from taking legal action against them.*
    The company has now contacted me multiple times claiming the amount they sent was an error, and asking me how I would like to reimburse them.*
    The amount on the Deed of Settlement was the same amount I received, but they are now claiming I should have only received 1/5 of this amount.
    Can they take legal action against me if I refuse to repay them? If I do end up paying this amount back would I be able to pay them weekly/monthly? Lastly, if I paid them back would this void the Deed of Settlement and therefore allow me to take legal action against them?

    Tough luck. I presume you have a copy of the deed of settlement? They should have double checked the amount.
