  • Dismissal during probabtion without review meeting

    Hello,
Am asking behalf of my husband who was removed before his probation period. He feels it is sheer discrimination as he joined on 22nd nov and by 10th Jan they removed him. In these days (5 weeks) he was given just 2 tasks and one of which was made not necessary by the employer. On January 10th he got a call from manager to come to office and they took his laptop and said they are not happy with his work.*
There was written letter given to him, did not give him a change to appeal or anything. We are wondering is it because he is not a native from Briton.
Is there any way he can claim unfair dismissal? Will he stand a chance if he fights

The only way, with less than two years employment, he could make a claim at an employment tribunal for unfair dismissal is if he can prove that there has been discrimination.

It would not be enough to say that this has happened he would need to be able to prove it preferably with details of what discriminatory actions happened, date, approximate time, by whom and whether there were any witnesses.*
