  • Do I have a case?

    Hi I am looking for some advice before I get my salf into something I can’t get out of.

    I have issues with mobility and fibromyalgia well before I started my current employment which was 16 yrs ago. 3 years ago I started to have major problems and started to have lengthy periods of sick leave. The company sent me to see the company doctor and occupational health dept who both agreed some changes needed to be made to accommodate my disability. So my manager was supposedly to arrange for assessments for these changes to be implemented. Long story short it was basically just not done and ignored. * Having breifly asked the manager in passing he would just say yes we need to sort that out and I would here nothing more.*
    Forward 2 years to last year and after a few lengthy sick leaves I am again sent to see a different company doctor and occupational health nurse, who were both shocked no changes had been made as previously advised. So again so both sent reports asking for provisions to be put in place to accommodate my disability.
    So now to the current day they have still not done anything.

    So I now feel extremely uncomfortable about the whole situation and I am not confident in approaching managers anymore.*
    I feel I have suffered for long enough and would now like to go to tribunal.

    Have you raised a grievance yet about the fact that two sets of medical reports, over a three year period, have recommended adjustments to be made and nothing further has happened?*

    You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have exhausted an internal procedure.*
