Hi guys I'm going to be in receipt of my state pension at the end of the month and have decided to drop 5 days a week down to 3 days tues/wed/thurs. Wondered if one or two of you lovely people could take a look at the important first couple of pages of my new contract? I presume everything starts again? Length of service comes to mind, but one question is, unless you can see anything else? is when I asked if I was asked to cover on my day off (eg mon) anytime, I said what extra benefit would I get for coming in and was told normal pay? I replied that's no good what about a day off in lieu but that was a no as well, I said well I can't help on that one then and was told that's ok. So apart from that question I would appreciate if anybody could point out anything that I should bring up? Thankyou.

They have stated the date you start on our new hours which i presume is correct and they have the date from which they would calculate continuous employment - again just check that is your original start date with the company.
I would guess that operationally it is better for them to pay you for any non-working days they may ask you to work rather than time of in lieu, which although may not be your preference I can understand their perspective.
My only other comment is that you mayneed to get them to revisit clause 10 since it appears that the have left the number of hours you have to work before overtime is paid for someone who works full time.
Other than that iy all seems pretty normal for a contract of employment.*If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com
