  • Help With Contract Dates

    Hi,

I'm not 100% sure on the wording of a short term contract.

If the contract gives an 'Employed From' date of say for example 20th March 2019. Then in the 'Employed to' section it says 'you will be employed until 20th April 2019'. Does this mean the last day of your employment is 19th April 2019 or is it 20th April 2019? Therefore making the contract one month and one day long?

Sorry if I'm being a bit slow. But it isn't clear to me and more often than not the way I read it, isn't the way it is in law.

Thank you in advance for you help.

Interesting choice of wording as I would make it clear by stating that the contract ended close of business on xxx date.*

Maybe just give them a call and confirm.*
