Notice period or contract end date. Which takes precedence?

Hi

I am currently on a six month full time contract. My probation ends on 6th April which contract states I have to give one month notice. My issue is the contract also states my end date is 30th April.

Which one would take precedence , the notice period or the end date? As the notice period would end after the end date of the contract.

If your contract is for a fixed term period of 6 months and ends on 30 April which is 6 months after the start date my opinion is that takes precedent.*

My view is that they have mixed up their contract terms as very few fixed term contracts for such a 6 month period would have a probationary period lasting just short of the contract term.*
