  • Under investigation

I have recently been put under investigation at work because I set up a business but never activated it and this is the reason why.

My boss lost his wife in February he went on a downward spiral and nobody was sure exactly how safe there jobs were his brother owns the other side of the business both don't really have much say in each side even though they are co directors of each business after talking with my bosses brother and explaining my worries is to the mental state of his brother he advised me if I didn't feel secure in the business

it wouldn't be a bad idea to start to see if there was something out there I was also due a pay rise and I didn't think that I would get one as we are always told we are not making money so I had a conversation with my boss about everything his mental health where we stood in the business and also my pay rise I told him that I was looking at other alternatives and he told me that he needed me in the business so I Didn't pursue any other avenues and never launched the business because I never needed to they have found me as a director of my own company and have now put me under investigation what are potentially the legal ramifications of this

Does your contract of employment have any restrictive/non-compete clauses, if so then this could be why they have decided to investigate. Did you register your new company with Companies House and is that how they have found out?

Do you have proof that you have not done anything further with the business other than register it? How long has it been registered?Â*
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com
