    asked to sign authority for deduction of wages

    So I don't want to give the company I work for away in my thread, but basically they were taken over a while back. We still operate under our own brand though.

    I work as a van driver. They are asking people to sign a form saying we accept that money will be deducted from our wages if we are involved in an accident.

    We didn't have to do this previously and this provision isn't in our previous contract. Any thought on if we would have to sign the agreement. The company are taking the stance of if you want to drive our vans (and have a job) then you have to sign it.

    Any thoughts welcome

    How long is it since you were taken over?
    Do you know if the drivers in the company who took you over have such an agreement in place?
