  • Non compete clause

I Was working as a self employed dog walking contractor fo a dog groomers/walkers in the local town.
there is a non compete clause in the contract that seems very restrictive and basically reads that I cannot work with any of their clients for the next 12m but they are the only groomers in the town. I understand that I could not work with their dog walking clients and totally respect that but to bare me from working with any of their clients seems very restrictive.
my contract stated they were to deal with all finances billing etc to clients but I have messages whereby they’ve asked me to ask for payment is that breach of contract?

I presume that you read this contract through before you signed it originally?
What are you planning on doing in the next 12 months that makes you think you may be taking clients away from the company?

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
