Equal Pay for Equal work the law?

Please can anyone advise. I am paid less than a colleague doing the same work. Same sex. They have been in the company 15 years me 10 years. The job title was changed 12 years ago with lower salary. It is uk public sector organisation. My work load is and has always been heavier
We do exact same work only difference is i have had more of workload and obviously paid less.

Can anything been done? It isnt a sex/gender issue.
