  • Discipline or resign

    Hi

i have been accused of bullying in the work place, even though I feel some of the accusations are incorrect and I have no past disciplinary issues I feel I will be fired.

i will be receiving witness statements tomorrow. But I get the idea I will be sacked following the investigation meeting where no evidence was provided just certain loaded questions.
My quetion is do I resign in an attempt to keep my cv clear or ride it out. I do not want to leave as I enjoy working there.

    Thank you in advance

If your company is following a fair process then you cannot be dismissed following an investigation meeting. Clearly accusations have been made and the company has a duty to investigate these and part of the process will include a meeting with you. It is only once the investigation is concluded that the company will come to a decision as to whether any further action needs to be taken and if this is to be disciplinary action then they will need to invite you to attend a disciplinary meeting.

At this moment in time you do not know what action the company will be taking.

How long have you been employed there?
