I dont think she has, she has been told in the letter she can have a trade union rep or a colleague, but they have to agree to the person. She has said she doesnt want anyone else at work involved, especially the other juniors (friends) who are all terrified of it happening to them in the future. To be honest everyone knows what has happened as the Admin/HR manager told people & its widely discussed in the after-work pub drinks. I am sure they wouldnt allow me to go with her. Its outrageous what this company have done handling the whole thing. Thank you all so much for the advice.

If she does not have anyone who can go with her my only other suggestion would be for her to try to get their agreement for her to record the meeting.

Update. Daughter had her disciplinary yesterday. It was for leaving work after she received the outcome to her grievance via a letter left on her desk. And although she did inform both her line manager & office manager at the time the company have decided she was “very disrespectful” and have given her a written warning. They actually brought in a qualified neutral HR manager to give it. He was a bit more sympathetic to the whole saga after reading everything & gave her some advice to deal with this other girl. He also said the girl is being watched to ensure she does not re-start her antics. So she kept her job and is relieved its over, but i have told her to look for another job & take her talents somewhere else. Many thanks for all your advice.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear that someone neutral was more objective about the situation and could offer your daughter some advice.

I think you have also given her some sound advice and I wish her the best of luck.

I think it may be wise to keep all the relevant text, documentation in case it is needed in the future.
