Morning - Sorry to hear you are going through this, it's a difficult time so try to make sure you look after yourself while things are resolved.
I'll tag Ula to look in, but of course as it's bank holiday weekend she may not be about very much... so couple initial questions which might help her ....
What is your job ? Does your employer have a safeguarding policy ?
Are you in any trade union ?
Do you know what the accusation is, did it come direct from your manager or an external source, and have you been invited to any investigation/enquiry meeting ?
Has there been any investigation/meetings etc inbetween the 'incident' and when you were suspended ? (ie are you suspended following an initial investigation or was the safeguarding concern only raised recently and you were immediately suspended pending the enquiry ? )

Any support I provide is offered without liability, if you are unsure please seek professional legal guidance.

Hi Amethyst has asked a lot of the questions it would be useful to have the answers to so that I can help you.
The correct procedure should be that at the time of your suspension or very soon after you should get written confirmation that you had been suspended that includes:- your rights and obligations during the suspension. For example, that you should be contactable during normal working hours
- a point of contact (such as a manager or HR) and their contact details for you during the suspension
- that the purpose of suspension is to investigate and is not an assumption of guilt
- remaining on full pay unless your contract of employment says otherwise in the event of you being suspended.
This period of suspension should be kept as brief as possible and your employer should keep you regularly updated about the suspension, the ongoing reasons for it and how much longer it is going to last.
As part of the investigative nature of the suspension you can be asked to attend a meeting for which you should be given notice and time to prepare given that you should have already been informed of the reasons for the suspension.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, the suspension has been lifted and it has all fell on managers head.
I was accused of snacking a child I had no idea and the said child comes to me still for comfort and often won't go with the parent and wants me!!!!
i believe it to be malicious and have proved my inocencece pardon for the spelling.
