I am a tutor with a zero hours contract. My employer has sent a company wide email to say they will be charging £15 per payroll error. Is this legal? Can they take the money straight out of your earnings? Feeling miffed and feel they are overlooking a lot of goodwill such as printing, resources we cannot claim for but still provide for students.

Agree with Amethyst. If you have provided correct bank account details and record of your hours against which you get paid then the errors are going to be your employer's for which you should not be charged.
In terms of deducting this from your salary, unless they have a clause in your contract that allows them to do this or you specifically agree to such a deduction then no they cannot without it being an unlawful deductions from wages.If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com
