My employer has advised me that employees are only allowed 5 sick days per 12 month rolling period before they start deducting daily wage for each day we are off work. That's 5 days per year in total!
So for example if an employee is off work for 3 days in Jan, then another 3 days in March, they will stop paying on the 3rd sick day in March. Any subsequent days off are not paid. Is this legal?
