I've just verbally recieved a permanent job offer. The role is IT and it will involve supporting some devices in schools but not working with kids.
I wasnt aware until after i was offered the job that i require a DBS.
I will of course proceed with it but almost 3 years a ago i had a conviction aged 45 of assault by beating. I pleaded guilty and recieved 100 hours community service. All done and dusted and forgotten in my mind. I understand this will show up for 11 years after the conviction date and after that it is filtered.
So the question is what does the Standard DBS or Enhanced show in detail of my conviction? There will be nothing else on there, just this conviction. If the detail is simply the convicton and date then I'm free to explain the conviction to the employer in any form of story i wish right? Be it a true version of events or not?
