  • Disciplinary after resignation

    Help!

Up until recently I worked in a school. On the last day of term I was issued with disciplinary paperwork (24/7) for apparently breaking confidentiality. I have fibromyalgia and anxiety issues so you can imagine this triggered a nasty flare. The boss has been unpleasant to me for the last two weeks but left it until the last day.

Any way I decided to resign with immediate effect (26/7). I have been put under ridiculous pressure for the last few months and continually raised this but no-one listened - me leaving was inevitable anyway.

im on a 4 week notice period but given the school holidays (I’m Term time only) and the stress and anxiety caused by these false allegations I decided having visited my gp that for my health immediate resignation was the best course.

Anyway today ive received a letter advising they are continuing with the investigation and the meeting will take place on 3/9.

My question is why? I’m not an employee any more. Even if I had given 4 weeks notice that will expire on 26/8. What is the point and what can they do to me given I’m no longer under contract with them?

i might point out that I worked for a vindictive petulant individual and there would have been no way I could have continued regardless of the outcome.

    any advice welcomed

    thank you
