Hubby wants me to ask some advice for him.
He's worked in the same firm for 27 years.
His employment record is exceptional.
However the issue is with his boss.
He asked for a pay rise 3 weeks ago, the boss has so far failed to get back to him over the matter.
Other members of staff have also been asking for payrises, the boss has also failed to addres them.
Its come to the stage now my hubby has asked me to place his cv online for a well known jobsite as he has had enuff.
He is a highly skilled welder/fabricator, years of experience, training etc etc.
He currently gets £10.25 per hour, he is asking for at least £12 due to the cost of living etc etc.
Its a small family run business, so there is no proper grievance procedures etc etc.
Staff are angry about the no payrise situation this year, even though the boss has put up pricess by 6% and he sits in a house worth over £1million.
How much notice does he need to give?
Am I right in think its 1 week!?
