Hi first time poster so I apologise if any of this is rambling or shouldn't be on here.
I've been with a company almost 4 years and in January I attended a meeting regarding absence. During this meeting my formal warning was raised to a final written warning for a period of 18 months. I was told I would receive a letter with details of how I can appeal the decision. I have never received such letter, and therefore any opportunity to appeal has now lapsed (I assume).
If I am not provided with my warning and the guidance on appealing is the warning still valid?
I recently had a further period of absence after suffering a late term miscarriage and received a call from HR to assure me that my employment was not at risk due to the circumstances. Unfortunately I am still suffering from physical effects of this (pain/infection). My GP has mentioned minor surgery and I'm concerned that time off for this would end with dismissal.
Thanks in advance.
