Hi.
I work two days per week driving a delivery van, (large Transit), for a charity who depend on volunteers to be driver's mates, helping the driver with lifting heavy goods. The problem is that we don't have a full compliment of driver's mates to go round and the ones we do have are unreliable.
The work is very exhausting without a mate to help.
Can anyone tell me if there is a legal requirement for van drivers to have mates under the health and safety regulations?
Thank's in anticipation.
