Hi
I was hoping someone could offer me some advice or guidance. My son is due to start secondary school Sept 15 the trouble is we have been refused a place. My eldest son who is now 17 went to this school and I want my youngest to do the same. (if my eldest was still at the school he would have automatically got his place, my eldest son now attends the feeder sixth form of said school ) The school we have applied for is out of the catchment area, but by the time sept comes we will have lived in the catchment area for the school for several months.
I have been in touch with the school on several occasions and they have advised that I appeal (which I am doing) and to add my son to the school's waiting list ( which I have done) they have told me we are currently sixth on the waiting list.
I am so anxious that my son will not get a place, we are moving to the area, my support network regarding childcare is in this area and I am starting university in September and will rely heavily on this.
I am just unsure and what else I can do. We are purposely moving to the area so that I have a support network in place as I will be studying full time.
If anyone could offer me any advice I would really appreciate it..........Thank you
