  • Please help, unaware of CCJ

Hi! Looking for help and advice regarding a Ccj issued five months ago without my Knowledge.*
The company is Lowell solicitors acting on behalf of EDF energy.*
In 2014 I moved house and to my memory settled our energy bills. However even after informing EDF of our move they have issued a ccj (via Lowell) to my old address. The problem is Lowell solicitors have been sending correspondence to my new address Before the ccj was submitted to my old address, this has negated my ability to challenge the claim as I was unaware of it. This seems to be a very sneaky tactic on Lowell solicitors part?? I know I shouldn't have ignored the earlier correspondence, but fully believed our accounts were settled and this would go away.* I am now wondering what my options are to challenge the perceived debt (£287.97) Any help and advice greatly appreciated!*
