No, there's no need to chase up the CCA request as non-compliance is a bar to enforcement and you will put that in your defence.
The one to chase is the request under CPR 31.14, if they don't respond within 7 days you should ask them that, as you need the documents to prepare the defence, you'd like them to agree to a 28 day extension to file your defence as allowed under CPR 15.5. You can do this by email and chase up by phone if necessary to save time.
