  • Consent order from Overdales?

Hello and thanks for any help.

I found a CCJ on my credit file which had been filed in default as papers were served after I left the address. I spoke to a credit repair agency who said they could easily clear the CCJ by a consent order under civil procedures as a) I have paid it as soon as finding it and b) I could prove I was resident elsewhere at the time of papers so did not have the opportunity to defend. However, their services would in total cost me over £600.

Obviously I’d prefer to manage this myself at a lower cost. Is it as easy as they make it sound?

    Many thanks and best wishes.

Thank you, that's really helpful. The link to the template letter requesting consent doesn't seem to work. Do you know where I could find some suggestions as to wording? I appreciate every case would be different.

      Best wishes.
