  • please can you offer advice

i have paid a payment plan agreement to TSB (made contractually binding against them in 2008)without missing any payments. It was for credit card debt.
Today i have received a letter telling me that they sold my debt to Cabot Financial on 2nd October.
Can they do this? and what happens now?
    Any advice please.

Re: please can you offer advice

was the account ever defaulted and did you pay the arrears to rectify the default.
what does your credit file say over this debt, and yes, they can sell the account but cabot would still have to accept the same payments you are still making to lloyds/tsb

wait fro the cabot letter and update your thread as their are different sold termanology on the assignment of the debt

absolute or equitable but we will get into that later

            ignore crapbots threats

you have a contractual agreement with tsb on the repayments, crapbot now the creditor has taken on the rights and duties of tsb

keep to you current repayments and tell them the above if they ever try an bully you into larger payments

the tsb agreement is binding unless you land a job as an mp or win the lottery

please update your thread if they start getting heavy
