  • Sold to Cabot

Well it seems Barclays off loaded a load of debt to Cabot at the end of December 2011 (having read a few forums) including mine
They are a right set of plonkers having 2 small debts with Barclays and paying them direct for the last 2 years I recieved a good bye letter from them then a hello from Cabot
I told Cabot I would only pay them the same as Barclays sent cheques with the account numbers and letters to say what my proposals were
Have so far recieved 2 statements with allocation of payments to just 1 account what a set of muppets so it looks like I have not payed anything on the other account cant they get anything right without having to repeat it over and over again

Nope, that would imply the corporate brain cell was being shared around
Plus they would then have no reason to send you their "special" letters..

      Thanks Curly
Im amazed they send a monthly statement but glad they do or I would not have noticed their utter incompetance
But the bit makes me laugh about allocation of payments if you only pay the minimum it will take you longer to clear your balance and may cost you more
What more than 0% interest its been sold so not interest is to be added and my DMP payment is all I have anyway
I think they are trying to look as though they know what they are doing alas we know better

I believe the correct term for putting money into the wrong account is Misapplication of Funds, though, I tend to agree with Curlyben's comment about them sharing around the corporate brain cell. What brain cell?
