  • Cabot Financial /Mackenzie Hall

Hi, I recieved a letter from Mac Hall acting on behalf of cabot a few days ago.

I couldn't work out what it was for and then i realised that it was a debt that Mac Hall had tried to collect on a few years ago and they were told then that it was statute barred.

They sent no letters (other than the first 2 which i unfortunatly destroyed and a SD that i still have a photo copy of) at that time, just bombarded me with calls for nearly a year!!!!

I did make an attempt to pay but stopped before i actually did thanks to some good advice and i do know that it doesn't have any barring on the Statute barred status as it was already statuted barred, i did send the letter then as well as sending another one now (confused, i know i am!!!!)

My problem is how do i go forward with this now? I'm was assuming that they'll return the debt to cabot before i can complain about them doing anything out of order- i gather their in quite a bit of bother with the OFT at the minute so wouldn't do anything daft- hah!

    Any Thoughts

    Re: Cabot/Mac Hall

I wouldn't even bother replying. I'd just pass everthing on to the OFT to add to their growing mountain.

Perhaps a letter to Cabot telling them that unless they call off their pet monkeys, you will seek damages for harassment?
